PINCKNEY PESTO

Pesto: Blend ingredients and set aside

   Plenty of Basil from our Garden! Pick the leaves off the stem

   1 garlic clove, peeled + chopped

   2 Handfuls of Parmesan Cheese

   Olive Oil, enough to remedy the dryness, but not so much that the pesto gets too liquid

   Pine Nuts/ Walnuts/ or Sunflower Seed

 

Chicken Breasts: Grilled with olive oil

   Chopped into strips

   With Italian seasoning, onion powder, pepper, and salt

 

One box shell pasta: Boiled

 

Serve pesto over chicken and noodles and you’ve got Pickney Pesto!

Red Velvet Breadsticks

Red velvet breadsticks: super simple! 

Follow instructions on the box and put into breadstick pan. You may use a rectangle pan and cut into strips if you don’t have breadstick pan. Frost and enjoy! 

 

GRILLED PIZZA DOUGH

Ingredients:

1¾ to 2¼ cups flour

1 package pizza yeast

1 ½ teaspoons sugar

¾ teaspoon salt

⅔ cup water (120-130 degrees)

3 tablespoons oil 

Pizza sauce and desired toppings

 

Turn on grill

 

  1. Combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl
  2. Add water and oil
  3. Mix together until well blended, about 1 minute
  4. Add ½ cup flour at a time until soft ball forms
  5. Knead for 4 minutes
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes
  7. Roll out dough for individual pizzas
  8. Grill one side of dough
  9. Top with sauce and toppings on grilled side
  10.  Put back on grill until finished
